Bhedkut .................Pronounces as a strange word ! One who listen to it becomes strange at once . Actually , it's the name of my caste . As long as i lived in my village ( my birtplace ) every one knew about my caste . But when i came to city , no one knew about it. If anybody knews it , he would say it a lower caste towhich a few people belong . When i enterd to collage i recognized myself as a schedule caste candidate and i submitted my caste certificate the collage principal looked at me strangly , he asked me whay the caste was that name. After i was rarely asked about my caste . And evryone asked i had avoid to tell .If i tell truth , at any corner of my heart i felt ashamed of my caste's name . I tell you one more incidence when i attest my schedule caste certificate in relation to my job , the chairperson looked at the certificate and said that he never heard about this caste .At the time of counselling for admission in any course , my educated brothers and sisters has to show our caste's name in the schedule caste list given in the prospectus . Then i realized that i must collect the fact about my caste's origin and evolution . I set on my laptop and searched at the internet .But i found '' Bhedkut '' name only in the caste list of some prospectus of educational institutes . Icould not get any information on internet . Then i went to my elders to enquire about the origin and nomenclature of our caste . I found no written history or information about our caste but i got some informations frome my elders which has come from our ancestors orally .And what i am tring to write here. Bkedkut is a schedule caste belonge to it mainly lives in Haryana , Punjab , Rajsthan and Delhi . Population of this caste is very less . Most of the people are poor . Some people are in Government jobs and another depand on labour and agriculture at some extent . They have no basic requirements. In Haryana , the people of this caste live at Mohammad Pur Rohi, Jhulnia ,Bir Badalawa, Khidkali, khedi . In Delhi , they live at Kasturba Nagar , Mangolpuri ,Trilok Nagri, Sunder Nagri . In Rajsthan , at the 75ps , 37ps , Ghadsana Mandi and Raisingh Nagar ect and in Punjab at the village Bakain Wala of Abohar . Some people who come to jobs moved to cities .Actually , the economic condition of these people is very week . Education level is also very low . No one of this caste acheived the post of IAS , HCS ,RAS or IPS . Bhedkut calls themseleves Hindu but their all traditions are same as Shik Dharam . Marriages and other ceromonies are based on Shikism ( Guru Granth Sahib ) . Marriages based on endogany ( intera caste ) . Intercaste marriages have no place in this caste . It was the story of Bhedkut caste.
